Our Vision & Mission
At Chrysalis Collective, it is our mission to create resources and opportunities for creatives around the world. We believe that by working together we can create a transparent and collaborative arts community that supports and empowers creatives of all backgrounds. As a community ran organization, we strive to make sure the power belongs to the people whose passion and creativity call it home.
Our Values
Communicate clearly, continuously, honestly, and respectfully both within our company and to our customers and community. Share our best work as an example for others to learn from, and share our mistakes or shortcomings to encourage accountability. Make sure what we say matches what we do. Don’t hide bad news, and don’t neglect to share good news. Anticipate areas of concern and address them head-on.Narrate our work, documenting process, decisions and progress along the way. Talk about why we make our choices, not just what choices we make. Describe the hypotheses being tested by our work, and report on our results compared to expectations. Proactively take responsibility for flaws or weaknesses in our work, and assign specific accountability for addressing them. Make sure our key internal processes are documented, and that our practice follows that documentation.Solicit feedback and suggestions as early as possible and as frequently as possible, to ensure that what we do and what we make fits the expectations and needs of our colleagues and customers, and the community of people who learn from our work. Build processes that make feedback as easy and useful as possible. Give each other feedback that is challenging, constructive, supportive and honest.Put people first in all we do, from our policies within our company, to defining our role in the communities and industries where we participate, to where we invest our resources. Practice and promote taking care of our well-being, and support each of us living full, healthy lives. Nurture the talent of colleagues, both with resources and by structuring our work to enable personal and professional development. Enable everyone to regularly have significant impact.Make a welcoming workplace by being kind and caring to one another. Build habits that enable everyone to do their best work without regard to location, context, or background. Enthusiastically support every role in our organization equally. Explicitly encourage an inclusive, diverse culture and do the work to make our company more welcoming and supportive of more kinds of people. Regularly and explicitly show our gratitude to our colleagues, users, and community.Invest resources wisely, allocating money and materials as if they were our own, and making sure our investments support the principles we espouse. Focus on where we can create uniquely valuable products and services, rather than trying to do everything ourselves, and build on the work of others whenever we can. Check that our company’s growth is based on thoughtfully providing more value directly to our own customers and community. Strive to build a business that is sustainable, resilient and independent, not optimizing just for short-term results. Pursue business models which allow us to uphold these values far into the future.

I've created InkBlot and have been championing to keep it going since! Helping build this community has become one of my passions and joys. I am proud to be allowed to be the Executive Director for the transition of the project as a Non-profit and to give to the community that has been fostered here. InkBlot has become more than just a place but a home for creators around the world and I know that the project we are starting will benefit all parts of the creative community!

I've been with InkBlot in the Moderation Team since 2022! You may also have caught me slaying it up in the seasonal fundraising chats and livestreams, haven't missed one yet. I am the most proud of the effort I have put in with my team mates to ensure an user's experience and artistic voice don't become mutually exclusive priorities in an era where automated moderation and shallow solutions are the norm to most issues.I feel we are incredibly lucky to have InkBlot, and be able to shape it with our own hands as it grows. As Operations Director, it'll be my mission to make sure this opportunity lives on to reach more and more artists in search of that spark of hope and community.
Megan | They/Them | Financial Director

I've been with InkBlot almost since the Creative Events team really got started; so about two and half years now? I used to help that team out with coming up with event ideas, graphics, badges and lots more before taking on the Financial Director role on the Board. I'm definitely most excited to help InkBlot get the funding it needs to be able to continue to grow with our community and to make the website into what we dream of!
Xen | They/She | Marketing Director

Community and marketing lead by day, gamer and artist by night. I've been with InkBlot for almost 2 years! I initially joined support as "Angel" but after 3 months, I developed my own events oriented team and became the Community Manager that's been bringing the silly fun to the platform. As Marketing Director, I'm looking forward to not only helping InkBlot grow but further assisting our efforts towards the bigger picture: supporting and uplifting the creative community while being the change we wish to see every day.
InkBlot Art
InkBlot has all the features you see and are familiar with from other social channels—but all combined into one creator-friendly platform.
Creatives and supporters need to connect with each other and potential supporters alike. Without frustrating, seemingly randomized algorithms or the need to utilize multiple platforms for basic features, InkBlot will be your platform to grow, build, and discover. This is a website for art lovers, musicians, writers, artists, and all in-between!
